President Maduro confirms he has had contacts with US representatives

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said Tuesday that his Government maintains contacts with representatives of the Trump administration.
“Just as I have sought dialogue in Venezuela, I have sought a way for President Donald Trump to respectfully listen to the truth of the Bolivarian Revolution”, said the President.
Nicolás Maduro said that the collaborators close to the US president sell him a lie about Venezuela, and on that basis they conspire and sanction:
“If President Donald Trump would someday want to talk seriously about the relations of the United States and Venezuela (…) make a plan to regularize and resolve this conflict, we are always prepared to talk”, he said during the inauguration of the La Guaira – Naiguatá – Caruao passenger terminal.
The Venezuelan President’s statements came shortly after Donald Trump reported that the White House “maintains contacts with the Chavismo at a very high level”.
