Venezuelan President commemorated 208 years of the Signing of the Act of Independence


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, commemorated on Friday the signing of the Act of Independence, an event that took place on July 5, 1811 in the then province of Caracas.
Through his official Twitter account, the Venezuelan Head of State pointed out that 208 years later the glorious Venezuelan people continue their battle defending the sovereignty of the country:
“Day of Patriotic Independence! We celebrate 208 years of the signing of the act that declared this land forever free of empires. Today, the glorious Venezuelan people, heir to the dignity and the patriotic spirit, continues in battle, defending our sovereignty and self-determination “.
