Cabello: Sao Paulo Forum will unite left wing movements

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, said on Monday that the Sao Paulo Forum, which will be held from July 24 to 28 in Caracas, will aim to unite more left wing organizations and movements.
Cabello explained that this forum, where will participate more than 120 left wing political parties, 24 political movements and about 25 countries, will not give a truce “nor cede spaces to the right wing, nor to imperialism.”
“Whenever the right wing has taken power it has been catastrophic, the persecution of political leaders has intensified. Because; We advocate for an event of high political quality with conclusions that lead us to a greater unity, it is necessary and pertinent”, he stressed during a press conference at the Poliedro de Caracas.
The 25th edition of this Forum, chapter Venezuela, will serve to debate issues around the political struggle that is undertaken from the whole world by leftist leaders, in the interests of justice and social equality.
“We will have the honor in Venezuela to wait for the left wing comrades of the world to discuss the fight against imperialism, against the way people are trampled on and the voice of the left movements in our continent is raised,” he said.
This activity will have the support of Cuba, to contribute with its experience in the resistance of more than half a century of US blockade.
