Chinese representative to the UN urges dialogue in Venezuela

The representative of China before the Security Council of the United Nations Organization, Ma Zhaox, on Wednesday called on the Government and the opposition in Venezuela to negotiate:
“We urge the Venezuelan government and the opposition to seek a political solution within the framework of the Constitution”, stressed Zhaox. He also stressed that the Republic of China is opposed to any internal interference, military intervention or the use of humanitarian aid to achieve political purposes.
Ma Zhaox also stressed that the Chinese Government has sent medicines to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela without any political condition: “We count on the countries to lift the sanctions imposed over Venezuela and to create normal conditions that allow the development of that country”, he said.
In his opinion, the peaceful resolution of the crisis in Venezuela should be promoted, for which he categorically rejected the statements of the Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, regarding the Venezuelan situation, considering that these violate the norms of international law and the principles enshrined in the UN Charter.
