President Maduro welcomed Red Cross delegation in Miraflores


The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, welcomed on Tuesday a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross at Miraflores Palace, as part of the dialogue agenda undertaken by the National Executive with different sectors and organizations in order to review the contributions of this organization in Venezuela.
The meeting was attended by the president of the International Committee of the Organization, Peter Maurer; its general director for the Americas, Sophie Orr and the political advisor Rodolfo Cardona.
Last February, members of this institution also held a meeting with the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in which were discussed the historical cooperation mechanisms, as well as the strategies to strengthen the system within the country.
The Red Cross has been in Venezuela for more than 100 years and is present in the national territory, granting its help to the most vulnerable people through compliance with the programs in hospitals and health centers, where volunteers who permanently meet their needs are grouped. work inspired by the fundamental principles of the organization.
