The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, informed that will be carried out an intervention, restructuring and modernization of the National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec).
Through a press conference, Rodriguez said that the restructuring will be carried out following the guidelines of the Constitutional President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in order to provide a better service to the population:
“We have performed the installment of the Major Electric Staff and we have defined two lines of work: The attention to the electrical emergency, and the construction of a new system through the modernization of Corpoelec (…)” After the National Electric System is restored, the problems of water and basic services of the country will be resolved”, she said.
The Major Electric Staff is made up of 6 work commissions that will “armor” the National Electric System “against multiform attacks”.
