The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, indicated on Tuesday that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) must continue being the protector of the Venezuelan people.
“The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) must fulfill its constitutional and historical role of being a protector of the people of Venezuela and a defender of national integrity and independence in whatever circumstances we live”, he said during the commemoration of the bicentennial of the Declaration of the Republic of Venezuela by the Liberator Simon Bolivar.
He exhorted the soldiers of the country to protect and accompany their people to maintain national sovereignty.
“We civilians, solidifying the civic military union in all its aspects and the militaries loving, protecting and accompanying their people, and always getting prepared to defend this sacred land of the empires of today, of the imperial threats”, he emphasized.
