El Aissami reviewed bilateral cooperation agenda with Vice President of Turkey

The vice-president for the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, held a working meeting on Tuesday in Ankara with the Turkish vice-president, Fuat Oktay, in which the bilateral cooperation agenda was reviewed.

From the Turkish capital, El Aissami said that the bilateral agenda “has a character of the highest strategic level for our people.”

“We thank on behalf of the Bolivarian Government of President Nicolás Maduro and the delegation that visited in Ankara, all the generosity and hospitality of the Turkish people, Vice President Fuat Oktay and the support of President Erdogan to the people of Venezuela. We shall overcome”, he said through Twitter.

In mid-September, Venezuela and Turkey signed two bilateral cooperation agreements, in order to strengthen the diplomatic and strategic relations between both nations, with regard to the official visit to the country of the Chancellor of the Republic of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavusoglu.

It was a memorandum of understanding on consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

The second aims to establish and develop alliances for the training of its diplomats, one through the “Pedro Gual” National Institute of Higher Diplomatic Studies, and the Diplomacy Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

Venezuela and Turkey have worked together on tourism and energy, among other areas.
