Venezuela shapes to be the second largest gold reserve in the world

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted on Friday that Venezuela certifies 32 gold fields and is going to establish itself as the second country with the largest gold reserves in the world.

In a joint radio and television broadcast, the National President said that with the implementation of the Gold Plan, the nation will advance in economic matters to guarantee the Venezuelan population the greatest amount of happiness possible.

“We have a very important Gold Plan that has been advancing this year and which aims next year to record revenues of more than 5 billion dollars a year, only in gold”, he said.

He explained that only in gold “we are going to have a fabulous income power, we have our international markets very well established, very well conversed, very well negotiated, and the gold comes to strengthen the international reserves and comes to strengthen the national finances for the development in a permanent fight against illegal mining”.

Gold processing plants:

He also reported on the installation of 54 gold processing plants throughout the Orinoco Mining Arc, with new technology.

In this sense, he inaugurated the Sarrapia gold plant at Finca Moriche in the Piar municipality, in Bolívar state, whose target is 45 kilos of gold production per month to be certified and legalized nationally and internationally and thus promote the investment of public entrepreneurship and private, as well as foreign businessmen.

The goal for half of next year 2019 is to reach 90 kilos of gold per month through an “eco-sustainable and eco-socialist plan to advance in development”, he said.

“All that gold belongs to Venezuela (…) It belongs to us as a Homeland”, he emphasized.
