Venezuela congratulates Cuba, after the victorious voting it obtained in the United Nations (UN) where it obtained 189 votes in favor of the end of the blockade that the United States imposed on Cuba for more than 50 years.
Only two countries voted in favor of the blockade, and for the first time there was no abstention. Venezuela sends its congratulations “to the Cuban people, for the unobjectionable and overwhelming victory of the Cuban people in the vote held today in the General Assembly of the United Nations against the illegal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the States United for 56 years”, said the statement, concluding in the letter “The Cuban people resists, advances and overcomes ”
