Barrio Adentro has made 872 million consultations thanks to the Cuba-Venezuela agreement

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, informed on Wednesday that the Great Barrio Adentro Mission, created in 2003 by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro and the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chávez, thanks to the Bolívar-Martí agreement between Cuba and Venezuela, has made a total of 872 million free care consultations.

The national leader also stressed that thanks to the High Technology Centers (CAT) have been made 50,117,000 attentions by the Barrio Adentro system, and through the Integral Rehabilitation Rooms (SRI) have been carried out 148 million attentions, of which 37 million have been in the physiatry area.

He also stressed that, thanks to this agreement, in addition to the creation of Barrio Adentro, the missions Robinson, Rivas, Sucre (educational), Milagro (health), Cultura Adentro (culture), Barrio Adentro Deportivo (sports) were also created.

In addition, international bodies such as PetroCaribe and the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, the Peoples’ Trade Treaty (Alba-TCP) were created.
