The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the work that the Superintendence of Crypto-assets (SUNACRIP) will develop to support the development of Petro, a Venezuelan crypto-currency.
“The National Superintendent of Crypto-assets has staff of the highest professional quality so that Petro becomes the economic strength of the Homeland”, stressed the Head of State on the Twitter social network.
The message was accompanied with a note from Presidential Press, where SUNACRIP worker, Lusminda Yanes, said that Petro “is the first national crypto-currency, endorsed by the government, backed by the wealth we have in the country”, while at the same time urged the population “to have confidence in this enterprise, because it is the present and the future of the country, it is a technology that gives us security in the investment”.
