Venezuela and Russia deepen economic cooperation

The vice president for the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, reported on Wednesday through his account on the Twitter social network that was held a work meeting with the vice president of the Government of the Russian Federation and co-chair of the Intergovernmental High Level Commission, Yuri Borisov, in order to deepen the economic cooperation schemes between both nations:

“President Nicolás Maduro has ratified the raising at all levels of the cooperation with the Russian Federation in all its scopes. I thank (russian) vice president of Government, Yuri Borisov for his hospitality and generosity. Together we will make possible a multipolar world!!”, he wrote.

The mixed commission was created in 2001, three years after the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, to strengthen various economic and commercial projects.

Through this mechanism, Caracas and Moscow have signed more than 250 agreements in areas such as medicine, tourism, agriculture, mining, oil, transport and military industry, among others.
