19 people linked to assassination in degree of frustration against President Maduro

At least 19 people are directly linked to the assassination in a degree of frustration against the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, which was attempted last August 4, informed on Wednesday the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab:

“The raids were made and the connection of at least 19 people directly related to the assassination attempt is established”, he said from the headquarters of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Caracas.

In his statements, the high official said that the presentation hearing was held before the 1st Court of Control with Competence against Terrorism, where Argenis Valero, Juan Carlos Monasterios and José Rivas were imputed.

“The night of this Tuesday three of the prisoners related to the abominable fact were presented before the court that hears the cause, the judicialization of this event that has begun in progressive terms. The (process on the) attempted assassination is just the beginning of a series of actions that the Public Ministry is undertaking with the justice system so that an event like this does not go unpunished”, explained Saab.

The attempt to blow up the presidential podium would involve the serial murder not only of the figure of the Head of State, but also of the heads of national public powers and the country’s military high command, for which Venezuela will request to the international community of Colombia and the United States the full cooperation for the delivery of Venezuelan citizens involved in this event.
