Maduro: I am more determined to reimpulse the Revolution

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said he was more determined to continue promoting the Bolivarian Revolution, after having suffered an assassination attempt in the afternoon hours of this Saturday:

“After this attack I am more determined to fight, to make the Revolution and to conquer by the only path we have, that of peace”, he said from Miraflores Palace, in a joint radio and television broadcast.

“It will remain in the memory of history what they did to try to stop this Revolution and how the people grew above it. They have not been able, nor they will be able to defeat us. They have failed again”, he stressed.

He indicated that the assassination attempt is a sign that the revolutionary struggle that has been undertaken since the arrival of the leader Hugo Chávez is just and correct.

He stressed that the intellectual authors of this fact, are desperate due to the economic recovery program that will be launched from August 20, and therefore took once again the path of violence.
