National Government demanded banks to maximize the number of electronic transactions

The Sectoral Vice President for the Economic Area, Tareck El Aissami, informed on Thursday that the National Government demanded banks to raise the number of electronic transactions to the highest level:

“We will consolidate the structure of electronic payments, tomorrow we meet with representatives of private and public banks, I find that it was very productive for the country,” he said. He also recalled that the actions announced on Wednesday by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, seek to defend and improve the purchasing power, especially of the Venezuelan working class.

“On August 20 we will bury all forms and expressions of remarking, speculation and overpricing”, he said. He also explained that a program is being prepared for the economic growth and prosperity of Venezuela, which will be profoundly Revolutionary and based on Socialism, social justice and the equal distribution of wealth. In his opinion, the monetary reconversion, which will be implemented in the country, will allow a blow to the inflationary pressure that has been generated on the national currency.

On the other hand, he said that raw materials, inputs and machinery from abroad will be imported without the need to cancel tariffs, a measure that represents a contribution of the State to the business that is committed to the growth of domestic production.

As it might be recalled, the Head of State announced that the Sovereign Bolivar will enter into force on August 20 and will be anchored to the national cryptocurrency, the Petro. President Maduro also sent to the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), a constitutional project on illicit exchanges that seeks to encourage and promote foreign investment in Venezuela.
