The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, extended on Sunday a recognition to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, for the organization of the 2018 World Cup that began in June and which brought together 32 teams:

“I extend my gratitude to President Vladimir Putin for the extraordinary organization of the Russia 2018 World Cup. It has been, in all regards, the best World Cup we have seen. I congratulate the Russian Government, its people and its national team!”, said the president in a message via Twitter.

The Venezuelan president also congratulated the French national team after winning the World Cup in Russia, which gives them the bi-Championship:

“The young French national team has managed, for the second time in their history, to hold a World Cup, this time that of Russia 2018. They demonstrated that with great effort, discipline and teamwork great victories are achieved. Congratulations Champions!” wrote Maduro on his Twitter account.

France played on Sunday the final of the 2018 World Cup against Croatia. The match took place at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, in Moscow, and ended with a score of 4 to 2 in favor of the French team.
