Venezuela condemns the use of violence for political purposes in Nicaragua

The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela condemns the violent attacks for political purposes promoted by sectors of the right of the Central American country, in order to take power by undemocratic ways.

In a statement issued this Sunday by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, the Government regrets the loss of human lives and expresses its solidarity with the Nicaraguan people.

Following, the full text:

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly condemns the use of violence for political purposes by factors of the Nicaraguan opposition whose purpose is to seize power through non-democratic means.

In that sense, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela deeply and painfully regrets the loss of human lives and in particular the grotesque murder by incineration of two people as well as members of a humble family residing in the popular “Karl Marx” neighborhood, in Managua city.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela recalls that the Venezuelan people were the object of this same type of crime. Being aware of the social damage generated by these crimes of hatred and intolerance, it stands in solidarity with the Nicaraguan people and their Government reiterating that the only way to guarantee peace and reconciliation is dialogue and not the use of excessive and irrational violence.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela urges international factors that with their statements encourage the conflict to allow the Nicaraguan people to find in peace the solution to their differences.
