During his proclamation as President for the 2019-20125 term, at the headquarters of the National Electoral Council (CNE), the Head of State highlighted the courage, courage and conscience of the Venezuelan people who asserted the popular vote in the elections.
In his speech, the President highlighted the electoral guarantees that framed the elections, which were achieved with the agreements reached at the dialogue table held in the Dominican Republic, which the opposition refused to sign.
«What were the causes for the opposition to be progressively withdrawn? What was the preponderant cause? The decision of the extremist Government of the United States not to validate, not to legitimize (the elections)», he added.
