Venezuela will receive international assistance to combat onslaught of El Niño


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, said on Wednesday regarding the issue of the allocation of water in the country, that will receive scientific and technical advice to undertake works of recovery for the coming months and years.
“We will seek international assistance to the systems that has the United Nations in the field of climate change, (…) to address this issue which is very serious for Venezuela and is very serious in general for the region, we already have made contacts with these agencies to address this situation” said the Head of State in its program “Contacto con Maduro” (Contact with Maduro) broadcast from Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.
He also reported that public attention services in the public administration, will be guaranteed to the measures applied to preserve the level of the reservoir of the Simón Bolívar hydroelectric plant (Guri).
The National President also noted that, despite the economic situation being lived in the country, the Government will ensure the coverage of the needs of the People’s power.
