JVR: The opposition is playing with a card mounted by warmongerism

The Venezuelan political analyst José Vicente Rangel, said Sunday that when the elections of next May 20 are coming, the sectors of the right wing have made repeated calls for abstention: “They are playing with a card mounted by warmongering”.

He explained that the opposition is betting on “an unforeseen situation before the May election, or a military intervention, or an uprising in the streets as a consequence of the shortage and high cost of living. Or a foreign intervention through a coalition of forces”.

During the “José Vicente Hoy” (José Vicente Today) program, he said that the only certain, predictable, against all odds is that next May 20 there will be elections and the people will vote overwhelmingly, and that everything posed by the enemies of democracy and the State of right will be loudly plucked.

The journalist also mentioned that during the Revolutionary process, have been conducted 24 elections by the National Electoral Council, so the coming process ratifies the democratic nature of the Bolivarian Government.

“Never before in this country did citizens adopted those values. The experience of 20 years of democratic exercise and the practice of suffrage have generated a collective behavior of this national position”, he said.
