The Chairwoman of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena, informed on Tuesday that it was requested before the Secretary of the United Nations Organization (UN), the conformation of the delegation of accompaniment and observation that will participate in the next Presidential elections scheduled for October. April 22.

Through her Twitter account, Lucena also noted that the special journey of the Electoral Registry for the updating of data and new inscriptions culminated this February 20, foreseen for the period between (February) 21 and 25 for the registration of Venezuelans abroad .

She stressed that the CNE works to comply with the agreements made between political sectors, for peace and Venezuelan democracy debated in the Dominican Republic.

In another message, the Chairwoman of the electoral body indicated that on February 19, she met with the deputy minister of international communication of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, William Castillo, to agree on an international delegation to accompany the upcoming presidential elections.
