The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, informed that is being convened for January 28 and 29 to resume the talks between the Bolivarian Government and the opposition for the signing of a peace agreement.

“If that is the case, the Venezuelan delegation, led by Jorge Rodriguez, will be the first to arrive in the Dominican Republic to lead the dialogue and we are ready to sign a peace agreement with the Venezuelan right wing”, he said during his speech at the massive rally held for commemorate the popular rebellion of January 23, 1958 and to condemn the betrayal of the Governments of the Fourth Republic to this struggle.

He reiterated that he is a man of peace and dialogue, which comes from the people who have suffered violence and persecution by the oligarchy for centuries.

He asserted that it is with the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution that peace came to Venezuela.

“With peace everything is possible. I believe in peace and I have absolute faith in the conscience of the people, in the deep spirituality that we have built together. I love the spirituality of the people and I have faith in your faith, your faith and consciousness give me strength”, he ratified.

The peace dialogue table between the Bolivarian Government and the opposition takes place in the Dominican Republic and is accompanied by several foreign ministers of the region. This responds to the call made by the Venezuelan President, in at least 400 opportunities, to engage in a political dialogue with the sectors that oppose the revolutionary project.
