Diosdado Cabello, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), thanked all the opposition sectors that went to vote, “We even thank the candidates of the right wing, Henry Falcón, who presented candidates of his party in almost all of Venezuela, or Manuel Rosales, we thank them on behalf of our people for having the courage to face the decisions of the cupolas of the financial right wing or financed by the North American imperialism”, he added.
From the Zamora 200 Campaign Command, at the Bolívar Theatre (in Downtown Caracas), Cabello assured that from Amazonas state to Zulia state “we have received good news, the people gave a civic demonstration, we are very happy from the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, we were in the street watching the people who once again say that they will not give up, since now we are waiting for the opposition to come out and shout “fraud”.
He asked the opposition sector to join the democratic mood of the country, so that we all come out strengthened. “Let’s make the elections what they should be, a great democratic celebration of joy. From here the country has to leave strengthened, who does not understand what happened today is going to keep stumbling and I think the next stumble will be bigger. Put aside your coup-plotting agenda and demonstrate what you keep saying, that you are more than us”.
He assured that the elections that took place this Sunday, December 10, went in peace and the people who want tranquility was the great winner, explained that participation in these elections was very high, “the opposition does not have a country project, they do not have leaders , hopefully understand that this people is betting on peace, we will not accept anything that is not within our constitution.
He congratulated the rectors of the National Electoral Council for the work done in these elections, noting that once again the opposition did not participate in these elections “despite the fact that they have been asking for elections for two years”, as well as taking the opportunity to congratulate the Chavista people and to the opposition leaders who decided to go to elections “in spite of the cupolas of the opposition parties, to the opposition people that went out to vote”, he stressed.
