«Today, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces are more cohesive than ever, more united than ever. We are victims of attacks on an economy that affects the whole country and it has been fully demonstrated, and that is known to our people, and I am sure that we, no matter the difficulties they may try to impose on us, will come forward».
The statement was made this Sunday by the Operational Strategic Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (CEOFANB), Remigio Ceballos, referring to the civic-military integration that has been instrumental in overcoming economic and political attacks promoted from abroad with the support of sectors of the national opposition.
During an interview in the «José Vicente Hoy» (José Vicente Today) program, he indicated that the agencies have a commitment to security and peace throughout the national territory, especially in border areas where crimes such as smuggling and drug trafficking are evident.
Referring to the country’s political process, Ceballos pointed out that those who oppose the Bolivarian revolution are the main responsible for the country not generating violence again.
«To those political citizens who exercise Government functions, do dedicate yourselves to govern, devote yourselves to develop their state, dedicate yourselves to make your roads, to guarantee public services, to do your Governance. Do not mess with the State as a State because it is a solid State, led by the President of the Republic, who has his Armed Forces precisely for the guarantee of stability of the nation», he said.
