President Maduro starts lightning tour through Russia, Belarus and Turkey

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that he will travel to Moscow, Russia in the framework of an international energy event.

“I am going out to an invitation that has made the Russian Federation to me … Venezuela is a special guest at the world energy event to be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg,” he said.

He added that he will also hold a special working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to strengthen relations between the two nations.

“I am going to have a very important working meeting with President Vladimir Putin, very important for the future of financial, technological, agricultural, commercial, military cooperation between Russia and Venezuela. I will deeply strengthen, with this work journey, the relations with President Vladimir Putin, with the Russian Government and people (…) win-win relations between a great power like Russia and a future power as is Venezuela.

He announced that his lightning tour will continue through Belarus and Turkey, in order to strengthen the joint commission with the President of these nations, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“We have been reactivating the mixed commission, retaking a set of cooperation issues in housing, agricultural-industrial development, trade … I will also chair and participate in the joint intergovernmental commission between Turkey and Venezuela,” he said.
