Venezuela sums new diplomatic victory at UN

The signing of a joint declaration by 63 countries regarding Venezuela at the 36th ordinary session of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council is a new diplomatic victory for the country.

The information was released on Friday at a press conference by the Chancellor of the Republic, Jorge Arreaza,, at the headquarters of his office.

The document, signed by the member nations of the UN Human Rights Council, reflects the repudiation of the signatories for the actions promoted by the US Government against the Venezuelan people.

In his speech, the diplomat announced that could increase the number of signatory nations of the joint declaration that ratifies Venezuelan sovereignty and non-interference by foreigners.

“Countries that belong to the council and others who are observers, reiterate their support for the sovereignty of Venezuela, for foreign non-interference, they acknowlerdge the process of dialogue promoted by the Bolivarian Government and recognize the National Constituent Assembly, in addition to rejecting the sanctions imposed by United States”, said Arreaza.
