With regional elections will consolidate peace in Venezuela

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, stressed this Saturday that with the regional elections of October 15 will consolidate peace in Venezuela.

Within the framework of the act starting the electoral campaign of the People´s candidate for the governorship of Nueva Esparta state, Carlos Mata Figueroa, he said that, following the violent actions promoted by the right wing since April, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, convened the National Constituent Assembly to defeat the violence that was promoted by the opposition through four months. Subsequently, the ANC called for regional elections, and therefore the opposition had to take the democratic and constitutional path.

“They are candidates today because somehow we forced them to get in the way of the constitutional process”, he said during the start of the electoral campaign in Nueva Esparta state with the revolutionary candidate Carlos Mata Figueroa.

“Starting from October 15, there must be a process of revolution within the revolution in Nueva Esparta. To change everything we have to change, to improve everything we have to improve, to correct whatever we have to correct”, he said.

El Aissami stressed that Nueva Esparta state “has been a guarantee of peace because Mata Figueroa has been in charge of the political leadership” of this state since 2013.

He assured that the standard bearer of the PSUV will boost the economic development of Margarita Island. “Beyond the threats by Trump, beyond the alleged aggressions of imperialism, today opens the horizon for the Empowered Venezuela. We are taking giant steps in the National Constituent Assembly for the economic peace, for the economic prosperity, and we will continue to promote the Bolivarian Economic Agenda”, he said.
