Venezuela is an example of peace, self-determination and sovereignty, as assured the Mayor of the Bolivarian Libertador municipality, Jorge Rodríguez.
«Venezuela is a condor that awoke, and is an example for the world’s revolutions, is an example of peace, is an example of self-determination, is an example of sovereignty», he said.
During the broadcast No. 73 of the «La Política ene l Divan» (Politics in the Divan) program, he thanked the gestures of solidarity by the different peoples of the world, before the constant aggressions emanated from the American empire led by Donald Trump, who intends to continue with his interventionist agenda against the Venezuelan people and its Bolivarian Government.
He summoned the people to join a tug in rejection of the intervention actions against the Homeland of Bolivar that will take place this Tuesday.

Tomorrow we will go with a tweet #TrumpTakeYourHandsOffVenezuela», we go with a great anti-imperialist march (…) to tell those who insist on the aggression that Venezuela does not kneel, we are not a country that tolerates any kind of interference action by any power nor by any country», he said.
Rodriguez stressed that the uprising of the people against Trump’s Government is approaching.
«Desperate as Trump is, because it’s a matter of time before the world rises up against that rude empire. It is a matter of time for the people of the United States of America to insist and stand up against a government, to rise up against a government that is supremacist, that is racist, which acts against civil liberties and acts against the rights of peoples to independence and self-determination», he said.
He rejected the position of the leaders of the right wing, who handle an ambivalent discourse for their followers in the framework of the political dialogue for the peace of Venezuela, avoiding the clarity in their actions.
«In the opposition there is always an ambiguous discourse that causes annoyance in the opposition people … it causes annoyance because the people end up assuming that they do not tell all things … they wonder why they have a double discourse? (…) They have denied dialogue hundreds of times», he said.
«Do speak clearly to the people, the people will know how to thank you. If you tell the truth they do not have to have a good memory», he said.
Rodríguez added that the right wing does not find the mechanisms to disentangle themselves from the violent discourse they have promoted during the last few years, accentuating the 120 days of violence that claimed the lives of Venezuelans.
