ANC president rejected silence by opposition sector on US military threat

Delcy Rodriguez, the President of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), questioned on Sunday that an opposition sector has not rejected the threat made by US President Donald Trump of a possible military intervention in the country.

“An accomplice silence of the opposition against the most serious threat that has ever given the US Government ratifies that they are stateless and anti-national”, she said through a message on Twitter.

The Constituent Assembly recalled that, for several years, the Government has denounced factors of the right wing that that have supported an eventual interference by the American empire in the internal affairs of Venezuela.

“The opposition cannot separate from the intervention of Venezuela because they have been asking for it and executing violence in order to justify it!” she added. She reiterated that last July 30 more than 8 million Venezuelans voted for the National Constituent Assembly because they are committed to peace. “The people sent a very clear message to the right wing on July 30: we want peace and independence. Not to war! It is the time of the union of Venezuela!” She said.
