President Maduro orders to investigate attack on Spanish embassy in Caracas

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has ordered an immediate and exhaustive police investigation into the attacks against the embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in the country, as informed the Chancellor, Jorge Arreaza.

Through a series of messages, published in his account of the Twitter social network, the holder of the foreign relations of Venezuela denounced that violent groups attacked with incendiary devices the Spanish diplomatic headquarters.

He said that the diplomatic compound is located in an area of Caracas that has been sieged during recent months by violent groups of the Venezuelan right wing.

He recalled that in 2003 the Spanish embassy had been the target of a terrorist attack and those responsible received asylum in the United States. For this reason he asked the governments of the world not to grant political asylum to the intellectual and material leaders once identified and captured.

Finally he expressed solidarity with the Spanish people, the ambassador and the diplomatic officials and assured that those responsible for the event will be brought to justice.
