Council of Ministers rejects infamous imperial pretension

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tareck El Aissami, along with the ministerial team, rejected through a statement the sanctions of the US Government against the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, qualified as a serious aggression.

“The infamous imperial aggression, materialized in these alleged sanctions against the Constitutional President, Nicolás Maduro Moros, far from undermining or breaking revolutionary unity, has strengthened loyalty to a great companion and brother, a worthy son of Chavez, a revolutionary, courageous fighter, who will never kneel to any empire and will always raise the voice of our people and the peoples of the world who cry out for justice and freedom”, said a statement issued by the Council of Ministers.

El Aissami also referred to the electoral process of last Sunday, which he described as historical, and added that the ANC will take the political and governance direction of the revolutionary process.

Communiqué of the Council of Ministers of the Bolivarian Government in solidarity and support to the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, companion and brother Nicolás Maduro Moros:

The Council of Ministers of the Bolivarian and Revolutionary Government of Venezuela addresses the Venezuelan people and our brethren of the world, in order to categorically reject the alleged sanctions against our constitutional president, brother and partner, Nicolás Maduro Moros, by the imperial administration of President Donald Trump announced yesterday, Monday, July 31, 2017.

This unacceptable threat of the imperial Government of the United States of America is configured as a serious aggression against the homeland and the people of Bolivar. Intending to silence the voices of the free peoples and their popular leaders. It is this particular case of companion and comrade Nicolas Maduro, who has strengthened himself as chief and leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.

On Sunday, July 30, 2017, heroic Venezuela carried out one of the most memorable elextoral journeys of our democratic history, overcoming the threats, violence and bullets of the Venezuelan right-wing opposition.

This glorious journey, that of the people of Bolivar, that of the people of Hugo Chavez, has opened the horizon to the Venezuela of tomorrow, to the Venezuela of peace, to the empowered Venezuela, and is a clear, forceful, unequivocal, firm and absolute signal of the resolution of our people to be free and independent forever.

The infamous imperial aggression, materialized in these alleged sanctions against the Constitutional President, Nicolás Maduro Moros, far from undermining or breaking the revolutionary unity, has strengthened loyalty to a great companion and brother, a worthy son of Chavez, a brave revolutionary fighter, who will never kneel to any empire and will always raise the voice of our people and the peoples of the world who cry out justice and freedom.

We are not in time of colonies, we are in times of free and sovereign peoples.

The National Constituent Assembly, chosen by the more than 8 million Venezuelans who participated in the great journey of Sunday, July 30, is the starting point for the recognition and reunion of all the social sectors of the country.

This National Constituent Assembly, a result of the originary power of our people, will promote the democratic transformations necessary to forge the future Venezuela.

Consequently, in the face of the insatiable, infamous and illegitimate sanctions and the permanent intervention and aggrandizement by the American empire in the affairs of Venezuelans, this Council of Ministers of the Bolivarian Government manifests its unrestricted support of solidarity and loyalty to President Nicolás Maduro and to our Revolutionary leaders against any pretended threat that may attempt against our independence, our sacred sovereignty and the peace of the Republic.

Finally, we reaffirm our conviction and our inalienable principles of being Bolivarian, Chavistas, Socialist and anti-imperialist, and in this cause we embrace the banner of peace, social justice and national prosperity.

As our beloved Commander Hugo Chavez would say, we are in the time of giants. And from here we add, this is the Venezuela of giants, and comrade Nicolás Maduro is a giant in his revolutionary, Chavista and anti-imperialist morality.
