Héctor Rodríguez, head of the Zamora Campaign Command said Tuesday that Venezuela is experiencing times of hatred where the opposition right wing wants a confrontation and to cause deaths, “and our people will not allow those things, because we are not moved by hatred, but by love, by the future”, he said.

Rodríguez, who is a candidate for the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), said that on the different tours he has made during the campaign for the July 30 elections he has heard the people who have said they want peace; and emphasized that the problems that are currently being lived in the country are not solved by locking the country or burning someone alive, “problems are solved by talking”, he said.

“We are people of a deep gaze and I am very proud to be a candidate of our people in these lands. It fills me with great pride to be a candidate for Miranda, for the Cimarron (rebellious) people, for the people who fight, for the people who sow the land. We are moved by love, hope, the future and peace”, he said.

In his view, there is no justification for “guarimbas” (riots) and hatred, which has developed the opposition right wing across the country, “hopefully they see that the route they have chosen is not what the majority of the country wants.” The information was provided from Barlovento, Miranda state, during the closure of the campaign to go to the National Constituent Assembly.
