Cabello said that what happened in the AN was an aggression to the people

“Once again they messed with our people, they attacked our people,” affirmed the first Vice-President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, regarding the events of violence that happened this July 5 in the seat of the National Assembly.

“The photos that came out in El Nacional (press) were their photos of the show, of them (opposition deputies). Lies, they went to attack the people”, he said during the program “Con El Mazo Dando” (Hitting with the Hammer).

He reported that in the early hours of the morning, the Executive Vice President came into the Elliptical Hall of the Federal Legislative Palace, with members of the executive team and of the military high command, to open the chest where the Act of Independence lies, as is usually made every year to commemorate the 5 of July of 1811.

“The people entered the National Assembly and they, the right wing, were shocked and said: “We are  going to charge on the people”, explained Cabello, and said that in this incident was injured a young man named Cristian Palma, and a revolutionary militant nicknamed “El Chino”.

He rejected the fact that the right wing deputies held responsible of the events happened in the parliament to the “collectives”.

“Do not mess with that people. The people is calm. Too quiet is the people of Venezuela. Too quiet they are, those that you call, with contempt, the “collectives”, who have withstand everything that you have tried to do to them every day. But one day that people will get tired of it”, he said.

Cabello assured that the peace of the country will arrive with the Constituent Assembly, because this instance will bring justice.

“Their hatred will not be able to defeat us. The president’s proposal has been that of peace, when he calls for the Constituent Assembly it is a proposal for peace”, he said.
