Call for the ANC will not be affected by the OAS

The member of the International Affairs Committee of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Roy Daza, said on Wednesday that the political opinions issued in the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS) will not represent a change in the call for a National Constituent Assembly.

“The exhortation that was made in the OAS (to hinder) the convening of the National Constituent Assembly responds to a political opinion, not a legal one, and since there is no resolution we see no reason to withdraw the call, because contrary to their opinions, we do believe that the ANC is indeed the road to peace”, he said.

During an interview on private TV station Globovisión, he said that it is normal for the OAS to set the agenda according to whatever the Secretary of the United States points out; “It does not matter if it is part of the agenda or the resolutions became some sort of cockfight”.

The candidate for the National Constituent Assembly pointed out that it was evidenced the retry of intervening in the country. “There is a decision that was introduced and withdrew, which was the political intervention of the country. It was refocused through a political approach, it is not being discussed the issue of the agenda, but the political decision of some countries for the country to be intervened”.

Daza added that some governments that make up the OAS have shown their desire for a war in Venezuela and the destruction of the country.
