New constitutional text issued by ANC will be taken to approving referendum

To transform the State, creating a new legal system and drafting a new Constitution, are the main tasks of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), as indicated by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

He explained that the first task has to do with the transformation of the State, with the aim of “correcting corruption and bureaucracy” so that there is more democracy, and so the people’s power may have all the power of the State. The second task of the Constituent Assembly is to create a new legal system to establish new laws and give justice to the people. Finally, it is the drafting of a new Constitution for the constitutionalization of the Missions and Great Socialist Missions, to promote a new post-rentier economic model and to establish the peace of the nation.

“The almost unique main task of the Constituent Assembly of 1999 was to make a new Constitution in order to re-found the Republic; The tasks of this Constituent Assembly have to do with transforming the State to build a more democratic, more social society, more of law, of justice, of equality”, he said.

In this regard, he informed that will be included in the electoral bases for the ANC the referendum to approve the new Constitutional text that is generated by this mechanism of the originating power.

He stressed that this constitutional consideration will be used following the example of Commander Hugo Chavez, who created the approving and consultative referendum so it is the Venezuelan people to approve it with their vote, and on this occasion to approve the new Constitution that arises from the perfection of the pioneer one of 1999.

During the edition 89 of his “Los Domingos con Maduro” (Sundays with Maduro) program, he indicated that this Monday will be published in the Official Gazette this proposal with which is evidenced his participatory and democratic desire.
