Eight sectors of the country will elect their deputies to the National Constituent Assembly convened by Nicolás Maduro, President of the Republic, with which are acknowledged eight of the 29 new political subjects, said the member of the Presidential Commission for the Constituent Julian Isaias Rodríguez.
The Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela of 1999 only acknowledges one sector, the indigenous one, a reason why it qualified the sectorial participation as a success, during the program “Dando y Dando-Radio” (Taking and giving, Radio), broadcast by the RNV Informative channel.
For this consultation the working class, students, pensioners, entrepreneurs, indigenous peoples, people with disabilities, peasants and fishermen, as well as communes, communal councils and Local Committees for Supply and Production (CLAP) have been convened.
Rodríguez said that a fear has been created against terms such as Communes, dissociated by the social democracy, although it comes from the community, and in this sense he quoted the case of Rome, a city organized in Communes, or that of France, which has the Most famous Commune in the world, the Commune of Paris.
