During a meeting with university students and teachers from the capital municipality of Barinas, Foreign Minister Delcy Rodríguez said that the convocation of President Nicolás Maduro to go to a National Constituent Assembly will raise the flag of independence in Venezuela.
“This National Constituent Assembly is the voice of the people, it is a popular, citizen assembly to overcome the situation unleashed, not by the lackeys of the Venezuelan opposition but from the most brutal imperial centers known to mankind. President Maduro stood firm and called on the people of Venezuela to resolve this contingency”, said the minister.
At the meeting, students presented their proposals for this process, among which highlights that of Lisandro Alisa, State Secretary of the Bolivarian Federation of Students, who invited to transform the universities into self-sustaining centers that generate raw materials to boost the Venezuelan agroindustrial sector .
He also proposed including universities in a Great Mission to deepen higher education in the country.
