Gladys Requena said on Tuesday that the call for a Constituent Assembly by President Nicolás Maduro responds to the need to guarantee the rights of children and adolescents who have been violated by the right wing and fascism .
«We have a constitutional rank in what are the rights of children and adolescents, the obligation of the State, the family and society is a triad, … so the call for a Constituent Assembly made by President Maduro, it is a stellar opportunity to be able to arm our children. »
During the «Encendidos» (turned on) program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, indicated that the woman is feeling attacked as a pillar of society, «against the family, boys and girls, there has been a war objective.»
I reject the use of children and youth in «guarimbas» (riots) , «giving them exercises to prepare molotov (fire) bombs or when apologizing to indoctrination.»
The Vice Minister added the Autonomous Institute National Council of Rights of Children and Adolescents (IDENA) and the Municipal System in the country’s 35 municipalities, are activating mechanisms and procedures to sanction any act involving minors in violence.
Requena urged the citizens, parents and representatives to denounce before the competent authorities acts where they intend to involve minors, whether in educational institutions or public spaces.
