Executive reaffirms will to dialogue for peace

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified his willingness to establish a dialogue for peace with the Venezuelan opposition and to initiate the process of restitution of the National Assembly (NA), after it self-dissolved given the contempt of the sentences of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

“I tell you with the same firmness and the same obsession, I continue to ratify my call to the only path that our country has, to the permanent political dialogue, to coexistence, to diversity”, emphasized the Head of State during his speech at the Solemn session of the opening of this year’s judicial activities.

Likewise, he stressed that the guarantee of success for this year in the process of dialogue, is respect for the laws and the Magna Carta.

“I ratify our desire for this process of dialogue to be maintained and pursued, giving the MUD another chance, for the country, for peace … (…) Let us keep seeking the way for what will be inevitable, for sooner rather than later the opposition majority at the National Assembly to abide by the entire sentence of the Supreme Court of Justice, and thus restore the Legislative Power the country needs, based on coexistence, harmony and the functioning of the Constitution”, he said.
