Executive commemorated 18 years of the inauguration of Commander Chavez


With an event held at the Miraflores Palace, and headed by the State Chief, Nicolás Maduro, this Thursday’s afternoon were celebrated the 18 years of the arrival to power of the Commander Hugo Chavez, who on February 2, 1998 took office as President of Venezuela, after winning the elections with a 56.20% of the votes.

“When Chavez entered, Venezuela entered, a man from the people entered this Presidential Palace 18 years ago,” said Maduro in a joint radio and television broadcast.

In the activity, members of the Ministerial Cabinet were present, as well as men, women and children from different social sectors, especially those who make possible the promotion and strengthening of social programs created by the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution
