181 projects consolidate Venezuela-Belarus bilateral cooperation

On February 4, 1997, were established diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Belarus, and on the eve of meeting 20 years of the road paved by Commander Hugo Chávez Frías today we have as a balance 181 bilateral cooperation projects in various areas.

The Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, during an event celebrated on Monday at the seat of the Yellow House “Antonio José de Sucre”, located in Caracas downtown, she asserted that the cooperation between the two nations has benefited thousands of Venezuelan families with the construction of new homes through the Mission Housing Venezuela.

“Venezuela and Belarus have a close relationship not only in the educational, economic and scientific fields, but also on the world scenario as part of their struggle to build a world of justice and balance, which advocates for the preservation of humanity and the planet”, said the Chancellor.

In her speech she remembered the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, and Commander Chavez; the latter “Gave a strategic dimension to this relationship … Chavez placed Venezuela at the center of a new global geopolitics, he abandoned the path of a diplomacy that surrendered to the imperial centers, and placed Venezuela at the center of this new reconfiguration aimed at a world of balance and respect for the international law”.

In the act participated representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian Navy of Venezuela, Admiral Orlando Maneiro, the Vice-Chancellor for Relations with Europe, Samuel Moncada, and the Ambassador of Belarus, Oleg Paferov.

On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the bilateral relations between the two countries, will be exhibited to the public at the “Casa Amarilla” (Seat of the Chancellory) until February 15 more than 50 images corresponding to the 181 joint projects of Venezuela and Belarus.
