El Aissami: 2017 will be the year of the productive economic take-off

“2017 is the year of productive economic takeoff … It will be the year of economic and financial takeoff to strengthen the national productive apparatus.”

This was stated by the Vice President of the Republic, Tareck El Aissami, on Monday during the National Meeting of entrepreneurs, within the framework of the Economic Productive Council, held in the Ayacucho Hall of Miraflores Palace in Caracas.

“Our economy must be robust and solid with full productive capacity: We are facing a new era.”

He emphasized that in Venezuela, despite the sabotage, social investment has never been eliminated; it is a synonymous of the protection of the people, “consolidating the development and equitable distribution of the wealth generated by the country.”

The Vice President added that they are working to prevent the economy from being attacked and victim of speculation, inefficiency and injustice.

“While the capitalist model is going through a crisis all over the world, our socialist model proposes an inclusive, healthy and developmental alternative,” he added.

“This is the year of the march before the goal that we have set ourselves: inclusive and fair development.”
