The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, opened on Monday the National Superintendence of Crypto-Assets and Related Activities (Sunacrip).
In a joint radio and television broadcast, the National President indicated that this entity and the treasury of crypto-assets will support the development of Petro as a digital currency, since it comprises “the epicenter of the development of a new history of Venezuela’s monetary economy” .
“Today we are activating Venezuela’s comprehensive national crypto-assets plan that has a 10-year horizon in its development, and which will allow the currency to position in the field of the development of the Venezuelan economic process and occupy a space in commercial development and monetary policy of the country and the region with the world”, he expressed.
He emphasized that is beginning a new stage in the development of the monetary history of the Latin American region and the world.
