The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, announced a large popular mobilization for this Wednesday, December 10, in Caracas. The event will bring together farmers, young people, fishermen, women, and militants of the ruling party in a mass gathering.
Cabello emphasized that the mobilization will coincide with the historical commemoration of the Battle of Santa Inés: «We will be there as a party, because on that day we also commemorate the Battle of Santa Inés; the entire people will be present,» affirmed the political leader during his announcement.
Prior to the mobilization, will be held Community Command assemblies on December 8, 9, and 10. These meetings will have specific tasks related to the organization of communication networks, operations, planning, and community action.
The revolutionary leader explained that these structures represent «advancing in another form of organization and rapid response.» Cabello highlighted the organizational evolution: «We went from having a leader on each street to having a committee on each street,» strengthening the community’s response capacity.
In parallel, on December 9 and 10, an assembly of peoples will be held with international delegates. This forum will allow for the exchange of experiences and debate on popular processes, recognizing that «the people are wise,» emphasized Cabello.
The mobilization of December 10 is part of a process of organizational strengthening of the PSUV and social movements. The mobilization seeks to demonstrate popular strength while honoring the historical memory of the Venezuelan independence struggles.
