The Sectoral Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, supervised the activation of the Bodies of Direction for Integral Defense (ODDI) in Miranda state. The activity, part of Operation Independence 200, deployed 468 Communal Militia Units in this federal entity.
From the Great Wall of Petare, in the Sucre municipality (Caracas), the senior official explained that an assessment must be conducted in each of the regions of Miranda state, including Guarenas, Guatire, Barlovento, Altos Mirandinos, and Valles del Tuy. These actions are part of the 27 territorial actions decreed by President Nicolás Maduro to guarantee the defense of the national territory.
The Sectoral Vice President assured that the country remains operational in all activities and that Operation Independence 200 is being deployed to protect Venezuelan sovereignty. He maintained that, under any circumstances, national unity will be maintained in the face of potential external threats.
Under the coordination of the Miranda Governor’s Office, headed by Elio Serrano, militia units are safeguarding the electricity transmission, fuel distribution, drinking water, and other strategic areas. This integral deployment is part of the security measures implemented throughout the national territory.
Sectoral Vice President Cabello affirmed that the main objective of the international siege against Venezuela is to gain access to its natural resources. He emphasized that national unity must prevail above all else, reaffirming the commitment of the State’s security forces and the five components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces to the defense of sovereignty.
