The Vice President for Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, reported on the activation of 27 territorial actions within the framework of Operation Independencia 200. The Minister of People’s Power for Defense emphasized that the fundamental purpose of these exercises is to prevent the strategic paralysis of the nation and guarantee the normality of daily activities.
Commander of the Army Padrino López explained that the initiatives include the protection of facilities considered as being of national interest. These include oil and petrochemical complexes, gas pipelines, service stations, and fuel filling stations, with the goal of ensuring their uninterrupted operation.
The operational deployment also includes reconnaissance, patrols, and special actions in border, maritime, and river areas. The exercises include strengthening Citizen Service Points and activating the Bolivarian Militia to control piers and protect electrical, telecommunications, and health center infrastructure:
«These exercises are necessary for our people to learn and collaborate in maintaining internal control,» said Minister Padrino López. The senior official emphasized that these exercises are essential for maintaining internal order and providing guidance to the population, noting that chaos represents the worst enemy in the face of potential threats.
Finally, the Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty affirmed that all these actions are aimed at consolidating the response capacity of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and ensuring victory in any scenario that threatens national sovereignty.
