Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, along with his counterpart from Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, signed seven agreements to guarantee the legal security of joint investments in vital areas of the economy, and a political declaration on behalf of to strengthen the ties of bilateral cooperation.</p> <p>From the Ayacucho Hall of Miraflores Palace, were initialed:</p> <p>– Letter of intent between the Ministry of People’s Power for Defense and the Defense Industry Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, in the field of Defense.</p> <p>-Understanding Memorandum on mining cooperation between the Ministry of People’s Power of Ecological Mining Development of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey.</p> <p>– Letter of intent between Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and Turkish Petroleum International Company, on the oil sector.</p> <p>– Understanding Memorandum between the Government of the Bolivarian State of Miranda of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Government of Istanbul of the Republic of Turkey.</p> <p>– Cooperation agreement for the establishment of the bilateral business council between Banco de Comercio Exterior (Bancoex), the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Trade and International Investment of Venezuela and the Council of Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey.</p> <p>– Maritime transport agreement between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Turkey.</p> <p>– Agreement between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Turkey to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion in terms of income and wealth taxes.</p> <p>– Political declaration between the governments of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the government of the Republic of Turkey.</p> <p>Venezuela and Turkey maintain brotherly relations since 1950, however, after the rise to power of the leader of the Revolution, Hugo Chávez, they strengthened in areas of mutual Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Adán Chávez, offered on Thursday a summary of the conclusions reached by the 24th edition of the Sao Paulo Forum, which was held on July 15, 16 and 17 in Havana, Cuba.</p> <p>He referred to the joint statement in support of Venezuela, signed by 625 delegates from 51 countries and 168 political organizations and social movements from Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and Asia that participated in that forum.</p> <p>The signatories «will remain in permanent surveillance, in a permanent forum, to support us in everything that is necessary and to continue confronting those hegemonic attempts of the North American empire», told the Socialist leader in a news conference held from Caracas.</p> <p>At the meeting, the participating delegations expressed their solidarity with the Nicaraguan people, as contemplated in the final declaration, which is currently being victimized by the fascist violence of the right wing and US Cooperation Joint Commission.</p> <p>From the Presidential Palace in Ankara, Turkey, and following a bilateral meeting between the two countries, a trade and economic cooperation agreement was signed, first signed by the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Ramón Lobo and Nihat Zeybekci; secondly, the Tourism Cooperation Program, between the Ministry of People’s Power for Tourism of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Ministry of Tourism of Turkey, for the 2017-2019 period, where those responsible for stamping their Venezuela were the Minister of People’s Power for Tourism, Marleny Contreras, signed by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza and by Turkey’s Minister for Culture and Tourism, Numan Kurtulmus.</p> <p>In the field of security, a cooperation agreement was taken for the purpose of cooperating with the parties in preventing and combating transnational organized crime, terrorism and illicit drug trafficking and their chemical precursors, in accordance with their national legislation and its international obligations; signed by Venezuela, the Minister for People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, and by the Foreign Minister of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.</p> <p>Fourthly, both countries signed a memorandum of understanding on agriculture, through which the parties will take appropriate measures within their respective laws and regulations of their countries with the purpose of promoting an attractive environment for the development of production with a view to establishing a mechanism to expand and diversify trade and economic cooperation between countries, signed by the Minister of People’s Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Wilmar Castro Soteldo and Minister of Food, Agriculture and Livestock of Turkey,
