The First Vice President of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, said on Monday that the Venezuelan right wing insists on calls for violence, however “it ends in a new failure, because they lack a leadership and a force to motivate them beyond money”.
During a press conference of the party, Cabello said that despite the Attorney General’s attempts on not doing justice, the Venezuelan authorities have been acting with the Constitution and with the law in hand to reduce the violent groups that are receiving money.
He stressed that the opposition makes desperate efforts to maintain violence in the streets, referring to the latest video by Leopoldo López that is circulating in social networks, where he appears accompanied by some military men with the intentions of making believe that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) are divided.
He emphasized that those who accompany Lopez in the video are militaries who are in prison for murders and corruption, “They are criminals very similar to himself”.
He said the video was recorded before May 19, and they divided it into four parts: “You can publish all the videos whenever you want, because here is a people that is very clever, and an armed force that is very clever and united”.
He stressed that the opposition is desperately looking for a Pinochet. “But what they are going to find is an Ezequiel Zamora, an Hugo Chávez, a Simón Bolívar, an Antonio José de Sucre or a Juana Ramírez “The Advancer”, but there is not a Pinochet; they are totally ignoring the Armed Forces”, he said.
Finally, he assured that the right wing has been trying to end the Bolivarian Revolution for 60 days, but they have not been able to do so, nor they will, because what the Revolution asks for is Peace for Venezuela.
