On Monday, the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela reaffirmed through a communiqué its willingness to continue dialogue with the opposition through the Table of Dialogue, established on October 30, 2016 in Caracas, in order to resolve the differences.
In the text, read by the Head of the Executive Commission for Dialogue, Jorge Rodríguez, it is summarized how since the year 2013 the Government of President Nicolás Maduro has undertaken initiatives of dialogue “despite the internal tensions and ambitions of the right wing hamper the efforts for peace. ”
He also recalled the five action points that were signed by both parties on November 11 and 12, but which the MUD has not fulfilled and broke when then tried to promote a “parliamentary coup d’état” against the President of the Republic.
“We stubbornly insist on peace and the work of the dialogue table respecting the Constitution,” he said.
The Executive also said that he expects the National Assembly (AN) to regularize its situation, put themselves into justice and comply with the Supreme Court of Justice’s (TSJ) ruling, that ordered them to disembark three citizens who were elected deputies by Amazonas state in an irregular manner.
